APA style results section for a study using a 1-way ANOVA
Results
A between-subjects ANOVA was calculated with memory score as the dependent variable and picture group (no picture, picture before, or picture after) as the independent variable. There was a significant effect of picture group, F (2, 12) = 8.96, p = .004, h2 = .60. Tukey’s HSD post-hoc analyses revealed that the picture before group obtained scores that were significantly higher than the other two groups, which did not differ from each other, (no picture M = 2.0, picture after M = 2.8, picture before M = 4.4).

APA style results section for a study using a 2-way ANOVA
Results
A two-way ANOVA was calculated with final exam scores as the dependent variable. Coffee group (coffee or no coffee) and time of day (morning or afternoon) were between-subjects variables. There were no main effects, but there was a coffee group by time of day interaction, F (1, 28) = 4.939, p = .035, h2 = .47. Figure 1 shows that in the morning class subjects who drank coffee obtained slightly higher scores, but in the afternoon class those who did not drink coffee obtained much higher scores than those who did.
