The NEIU Student Research and Creative Activities Symposium celebrates its 12th year in 2004!

The symposium will be held Friday, April 16, 2004.  The symposium website says this:

"Founded in 1993, this event has grown from 25 to 90 student presentations and has become the crown jewel of scholastic events at NEIU.  Students who have participated in the past agree that this is an outstanding program and presents a wonderful opportunity for students engaged in research and other creative activities to interact with each other and present their work before an audience of their peers.

"This is a very exciting event, and all undergraduate and graduate students, including those who have graduated since last May, are strongly encouraged to consider presenting a project the upcoming Symposium.  Presenting at the Symposium helps prepare students for conferences and other presentations during your career.  Graduate schools will be impressed.  Participation in the Symposium can be listed in a studentís resume/vita.  And itís fun!"

Would you like to consider participating in the symposium by presenting some work that you have done?  If so, you will need to find a faculty member who will agree to sponsor your participation, work with that person to write and polish your abstract, and submit the abstract by March 1, 2004.  If you need more information, please contact Dr. Laura Sanders.
