By the end of today’s class, you should be able to do the following:

    * Review another person's hydrologic report and provide a helpful and meaningful critique.

    * Describe the use of a Class A land pan for measuring evaporation.

     * Find NWS evaporation measurements on the World Wide Web and translate them into useful data
            for our current study.

     * Estimate the amount of water leaving the West Branch of the DuPage River basin (or basin
            segment) each year through evaporation.

     * Describe the differences between the processes of evaporation and evapotranspiration.

     * List and describe three methods for estimating evapotranspiration.

     * Estimate evapotranspiration for the West Branch of the DuPage River basin (or basin segment)
            using the Thornthwaite method.
