By the end of today’s class, you should be able to do the following:

    * Write a statement describing the requirements of this course.

    * Give the name of everyone in the class.

    * Draw a diagram illustrating all of the processes and products of the hydrologic cycle.
 
    * List all the inflows to and outflows from a water budget for a given system.

    * Write an explanation of what a drainage basin is.

    * Use a topographic map to delineate a drainage basin for a particular point.

    * List the five main sections of a research paper.

    * Identify the appropriate section of a research paper into which any given scientific statement belongs.
