By the end of today’s class, you should be able to do the following:

* Explain what storativity is, and give typical ranges for storativity of confined, unconfined, and semi-confined aquifers.

* List and describe the five main parts of a research paper.

* Develop an effective strategy for reading and comprehending scientific papers.

* Develop strategies for discussing and leading discussions of scientific papers. 

* List the information that should be included in the Abstract of a scientific paper.

*  Tell what should be included in an Acknowledgments section.

* Competently discuss Article 1: "Regional Estimation of Total Recharge to Ground Water in Nebraska", by Jozsef Szilagyi, F. Edwin Harvey, and Jerry F. Ayers (Ground Water, Vol. 43, No. 1, January-February 2005, p. 63-69).
