PREDICTING PEAK RUNOFF RATE

w Demonstrate how to use the Kirpich equation to find time of concentration.

w Demonstrate how to use the Rational Method to find peak flow for a storm.

w Define the following terms:  peak discharge, time of concentration, hydraulic length.

w Solve Problems 5.4, 5.6, 5.7 5.8, and 5.9 at the end of Chapter 5.
