Student Presentations on ASTM methods:
Due on various dates; check the syllabus.
Plan to take about 15-20 minutes of class time. Your task is to
help your classmates understand the method so they can use it in a
simplified, streamlined set of steps. Use any presentation method
you like--demonstration using lab materials and soil samples, small
group discussion, case studies, handouts, slides, Powerpoint,
video...whatever you feel will be most effective at conveying the
information. If you need help with finding lab materials and
equipment, contact Lab Manager Pete Fortsas at 773-442-6065 or
P-Fortsas@neiu.edu . If you would like the other students to read
something in the textbook before your presentation day, please have
information on the reading prepared in advance. If you have
questions, feel free to e-mail, call, or stop by for advice.
