By the end of today’s class, you should be able to do the following:

  * List the requirements of this course.

  * Give the first and last names of at least three other students in the class.  (Spelling counts!)

  * Draw a diagram illustrating the processes and products of the hydrologic cycle.

  * Construct a water budget, listing inflows and outflows, for any hydrologic system.

  * Write the hydrologic equation for any hydrologic system.

  * Express hydrogeologically important quantities (length, area, volume, velocity, discharge, temperature) in several different
units of measurement.
