Dr. Sanders
By the
end of today's class, you should be able to do the following:
v
Ground Water Contamination and Remediation
- List the processes that transport
contaminants through the subsurface.
- List the processes that cause
contaminant concentration in the subsurface to change.
- List and describe properties of
contaminants that can affect their movement through the subsurface.
- Given information about the properties
of a particular contaminant, predict how it will behave in the subsurface.
- Research particular contaminants of
interest, with particular attention to the properties we have discussed.
See this Excel file.
- We will discuss your findings next
time, so please be sure to get your file to me as soon as possible.
v
Plumebusters: A case of ground water
contamination
Find
Plumebusters and download it; then start to work through it. You will
be required to write a consulting report based on your Plumebusters
investigation.
