w Last time we came up with a list of characteristics
that can be used to describe rocks. Recall and review that list; make sure
it is complete.
New this time:
w Using the list of rock
characteristics, describe three rocks found on the NEIU campus.
w
Explain the meaning of the term
density.
w
Find the densities of the rock samples
provided, using the triple-beam balances and other lab supplies.
w
Use our
class wiki
to collaborate and share information. Sign up for one
of the Geotectonics Research assignments, which are due on Tuesday next week.
Note: You will not be able to add anything to the wiki until you have been
authorized, and you can't be authorized until you have given Dr. Sanders your
