w REVIEW: Maps: List the common
elements that should appear on any map, and explain how to use and/or interpret
them.

w REVIEW: Explain the terms
watershed, drainage basin, and divide.
w Explain how to use
latitude and longitude to locate points on a map.
w Explain what is meant
by "7.5 (or 15) minute quadrangle".
w Demonstrate how to
locate a point on a map using the Public Land Survey system (township, range,
and section).
STREAMS AND FLOODING
w Explain the terms
oxbow, meander, floodplain, and stream discharge.
w Sketch a profile
illustrating a floodplain. Explain how a floodplain would appear on a
topographic map.
