Agenda for today's class:

w Student researchers:  Hear from student researchers who want to involve FYE students in their studies.

w (Tentative) The TIERRA Project:  What's it all about, and why should you apply?  Get information and an application form at this website!

w Student Presentations:  Each group will make a 20-30 minute presentation, while listeners complete a worksheet emphasizing important aspects of the presentation. 

Do the following two tasks at a computer in the B-Wing.

1)  FYE Evaluations: The FYE program wants your feedback!  Click the following link to fill out an online survey.  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/S6NHQ5M

2)  "Dear Muddy Waters Student":  Write an e-mail letter to next semester's Muddy Waters students.  In your letter, address these two points:  
 

  4What advice will help next semester's Muddy Waters students have a good experience and succeed in the course? 

4What advice can you give them about being a First-Year student at Northeastern?

E-mail your letter to L-Sanders@neiu.edu and K-Voglesonger@neiu.edu (include both addresses on the same message!)  We will compile the letters and distribute them as a booklet next semester.
