By the end of today's
class, you should be able to do the following:
w
Write the
names of your instructors and Peer Mentors.
w
List and
explain the objectives of the First-Year Experience program.
w
Write a
paragraph explaining how and why environmental geology is
important in Chicago.
w
Write the first names of three of your
classmates.
w
Explain to another person the safety precautions that should be taken
when performing scientific studies around bodies of water.
w
For each of the four water quality field parameters (temperature, pH,
electrical conductivity, and dissolved oxygen), verbally
give a 1-2 sentence description of what it means, in terms that a family
member would understand.
w
Conduct tests of the four water quality field parameters listed above.
w
After
viewing a slide show of the NEIU
climbing wall, set your own personal goal and share it with your
team.
w
Explain why we had you take the Noel Levitz College Student Inventory
w
Write a list what you must bring to next week's class, and a description
of how you should be dressed for class. |
