By the end of today's class, you should be able to do the following:

w Review: Make diverse geologic observations about rock samples brought in by yourself and your colleagues.

w Describe characteristics exhibited by different kinds of rocks.

w Demonstrate how to integrate notes taken from lecture with notes taken from pre-class reading. An example is given here.

w Keep a scientific record of a geologic landform description.
