By the end of today's class, you should be able to do the following:

w Review:  Explain how and why glaciers weather, erode, transport, and deposit Earth material.

Describe the composition and sorting of sediment found in major landforms in the Chicago area, and explain the processes that led to their deposition.

Define the following terms and explain their importance in Chicago-area geology:  moraine, till, sluiceway, Outlet Valley.

w Demonstrate how to use the USGS Map Locator to find online topographic maps.

w With your team, examine topographic maps of your study area, and sketch out your field trip.  (Your Field Trip Plan is due Thursday!)
