Stream Gradients

w  Find the gradient of the three major canals in the Chicago area (North Shore Channel, Cal-Sag Channel, Sanitary and Ship Canal).

w  Analyze the stream gradients we measured using topographic maps.

w  Measure the gradient of a slope using a hand level, measuring tape, and stadia rod.
