w Using maps: Use, correlate, and interpret maps of the Chicago area, including road map, topographic map, physiographic map, and geologic map.

w Glacial geology: Describe the glacial processes that led to the development of the Chicago landscape. 

w Define the terms moraine and till, and explain their relevance to Chicago geology.
