Fall 2008
Daily Objectives #2 (August 28, 2008)
Dr. Sanders
By the end of today's class, you should be able to do the following:
w Given a set of four
rocks, list three one-word observations about each sample.
w Compare your observations with others, for each
related sample.
w In groups, choose the two *most important*
characteristics for each sample.
w List the keys to good teamwork
that enable a group to complete a task like this.
w List the ways in which the rocks are *different*
from each other.
w Recognizing that landscape gives clues to Chicago's
geology, explore the Commons area: observe and make
notes/ sketches/ etc. as to its characteristics.
w Back indoors, using paper or play-dough, make a
representation of the NEIU Commons landscape.
A web reading assignment will be posted soon; watch for
it!
