All
of the sites on this webboard have been approved by the Department of Counselor
Education. They are sites that our students have used in the past
with success. They are sites that are familiar with our standards
and with our requirements. However, just because a site is listed
here, is not an indication that they will permit you to do your clinical
experience there, nor is it a guarantee that you will have the same experience
as past students, should you be accepted. Clinical experience is a "fit"
between the student, staff, agency and their policies, and the current
context of situations. It is still your responsibility as a prospective
student intern to check out the agency to see if they are a match for you,
and for them to do the same. It is our suggestion that you try to
secure a placement at several different sites, and then make a choice.
This list is meant to be a beginning place for exploration. Some of the
sites have links to the web, and it is suggested that you go there first
to see if it looks interesting to you.
