Welcome to the InfoSec Blog

We were comfortable in calling this "information security" rather than "computer security" since there are many routes of exploitation an attacker may take besides just exploiting a computer.

An attacker can choose to exploit the system directly through physically installing a keylogger on to the back of the USB keyboard or instead they can call a secretary claiming to be IT to ask them to visit a link that downloads malicious software.

The attackers intent usually is not to simply gain access to a system, their intent is to gain access to the information on that system. Here we will write about some of the methods an attacker will use to actually gain access to information.

The usual discretion is established. This information is not to be used in a malicious manner. We are not responsible for any illegal activities you may use this information for. These methods should only be tested only on your own network or within non-malicious sceneros.

With knowledge, comes responcibility. Enjoy.
