Invest in your career and build your resume and professional
portfolio by joining the NEIU IEA
The NEIU IEA is a pre-professional organization for future
teachers on campus. It is the local chapter of the Illinois Education
Association (IEA) and the National Education Association (NEA). All
undergraduate and graduate students who plan on being future teachers can join.
Earn professional development for your portfolio. The NEIU
IEA hosts many workshops on campus that support the three pillars of the IEA: Teacher
Quality, Community Outreach, Political Action. NEIU IEA members can join other
future teachers from campuses across the state at the IEA semiannual state
conference.

NEIU IEA on Facebook
Get involved and be a student leader. The NEIU IEA has
leadership positions available: President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurer, Publicity Chair, Political Activist, Community Outreach Coordinator,
and Conference Coordinator. Email the NEIU IEA today to find out which
positions are available this semester.

IEA and NEA members get many benefits such as: discounts, $1
million in liability insurance while working in a classroom, free teaching
