Biography

Professor Hild received his B.A. from DePaul University; his M.A. from Northeastern Illinois University and his Ph.D. in English for Loyola University of Chicago.  In 1974 he founded and became the first coordinator of the English Language Program.  Most of his research and articles deal with writing and literature although he has written and published poetry as well.  He has served as President of the National Association for Developmental Education.  He has won many awards in the area of academic development. Last Spring Dr. Hild made his acting debut as Dr. Lyman in Inge's Bus Stop.  Currently Dr. Hild is working on the poetry of Wislawa Szymborska, Poland's Nobel Prize winning poet.
