The Miskelly Saga

In the early Autumn of 2002, Bill Miskelly (then Lt. William Miskelly, USN, and now Lt. Cmdr. William Miskelly, USNR) began attending Immanuel Lutheran Church, Evanston IL. We were delighted to have a young man who was passionate about the Apostolic faith, and a nailer at arguing. By the next spring, he was sent to Bahrain. He returned to us in the Fall of 2003. We then met Reiko Yoshihara. They met six years earlier when Bill was stationed in Japan. Reiko came to the Windy City to udertake graduate work in Public Policy at the University of Chicago. In the presence of Reiko's irenic charm, we soon discovered that Bill has a well developed sense of humor.

Soon after her arrival in Chicago, Reiko and Bill were engaged. They were married in 2004.

Reiko completed her Master of Public Policy in June, 2005.

In late January 2007 the Miskelly Prodigals returned to Chicago for a visit
and we gathered with others (Frank and Mary Senn, Mike and Carol Bennett, Larry Schnekloth, Rosemary Bradley, Audrey Reynolds) for a feast.
At one point, the oldest and the youngest at the table had a special momnent.
