Declaring a Major or minor

Students who wish to declare a major in Geography or in Environmental Studies, or a minor in Geography & Environmental Studies, should fill out the Declaration of Major/Minor form. At the moment you must pick up the form from the dean's office or Department Office (S346A, phone 773/442-5640), from any G&ES faculty member or from the Department Chairperson (S-344A, phone 773/442-5647).

The completed form (a triplicate) is given to Enrollment Services in D-111.

You will be assigned an advisor, which you can change at any time at your discretion. To change an advisor, simply notify the chair after getting approval of a new advisor.
