2010 CTC Summer Inquiry and Design Institute
Creating a Culture of Learning
Through Relationship, Relevance and Rigor
August 23-27, 2010
9:00 – 3:30
Chicago Teachers’ Center, 770 N. Halsted
Join Us This Summer to Plan for your Culture of Learning
Spend week learning and sharing new ways to build relationships with your students, make your curriculum relevant to your students’ lives, and provide engaging rigorous instruction paired with meaningful support so students can meet high standards.
Inquire into What Matters to Your Teaching
Engage in a personal Inquiry centered on your teaching practice and how it connects to rigor, relevance, and relationship. As part of the inquiry process you will “gather information” through elective workshops on strategies and techniques. After the inquiry, you will “make it real” by creating your own unit, lesson, management plan or classroom tool for next year.
Incentives to Join In
Earn 30 CPDUs and be part of the GEAR UP Unit-for-Books Program. Write a unit and implement it with the help of a class set of books from GEAR UP.
