There are many available resources, here on campus, via NEIUport, and on the NEIU website to help you succeed with your educational goals.

- Academic Advising
Academic Advising helps students without declared majors with course selection and other issues related to academic performance.
- Accessibility Center
the Accessibility Center assists students with verifiable disabilities and learning challenges, including making necessary accommodations for students in order to assist in learning, and arranging tutoring for Office of Rehabilitation clients.
- Assessment & Testing
Assessment & Testing administers the Placement Test in reading, writing, and math proficiency levels, along with the English Competency Exam.
- Campus Recreation
The Office of Campus Recreation offers a broad spectrum of activities and programs for NEIU students, faculty, and community members.
- Career Services
The Office of Career Services assists NEIU students and alumni in developing appropriate job options, internships, and employment opportunities.
- Counseling Services
Counseling Services works to find solutions in life, including issues with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, problems in current relationships, marital problems, incest or sexual abuse, eating disorders, drinking or other additions. Group and individual sessions are available.
- Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students coordinates a wide variety of programs and services designed to foster student development, including a Student Directory of Services and the Student Handbook.
- Health Services
Health services provides a wide range of health care, including, but not limited to: first aid, contraceptive information, exams, & products, referral to doctor, hospital, or clinic, smoking cessation program, treatment for minor illnesses, and nutritional guidance. Health Services also administers tests and screenings, including, but not limited to: vision, blood pressure, blood sugar, pregnancy, cholesterol, anemia, TB, strep, and mononucleosis.
- Learning Center
The Learning Center tutors in individual or group sessions for the General Education Courses, and Business Accounting & Management. They assist students with motivation, learning strategies, study groups, workshops, classroom presentations, and academic "coaching."
- Math Lab
The Math Lab assists students routinely with the following Math courses: 090, 091, 092, 104, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 140's, 160's, 170's & 180's.
- Reading Lab
The Reading Lab assists students preparing for the reading portion of the English Competency Exam, supports students enrolled in development reading courses, and offers "reading-to-learn" strategies.
- Student Activities Office
Located on the second floor of the Student Union, the Student Activities Office coordinates student organizations on campus
- Student Union
The Student Union builds community by providing lounge space, a reading room, cafeteria, art exhibitions, services, and programs for the NEIU campus.
- Writing Lab
The Writing Lab assists students with writing for any class, working with both native and non-native speakers of English. They offer workshops on the written portion of the English Competency Exam.
