PEDAGOGICAL OBJECTIVES: To understand the contents of French language on-line publications, express preferencea about magazines and types of articles, and to write a shot summary and review of an article.

Introduction The media in different countries often follows similar formats. That's why when you look at a magazine in a different language, you can often figure out the "gist" or purpose of an article even if you don't know the language! Yet, magazines and newspapers still are able to address the needs of specific audiences by the contents of the articles. In this assignment, you will visit some on-line magazines in order to learn more about them and in order to write a shor review of one of them. For help with this activity, look at the Vocabulaire in Leçon 14 of your Voilà! textbook
