Preparing for Seminar

As we all know by now, the Illinois Medical Seminar is just around the corner. It is practically, this week, on Saturday, namely March 4th.

If you haven't seriously thought about how to get there, this is the best time to do so. There aren't many days left. The best thing to do at this point would be for you to come by the March 2nd planned meeting, per most recent mass emailing notification.

If you can't attend the Thursday meeting, leave a message on the forum, as a reply to the Meeting notes. We would try to make them public as soon as they become available.

Ideas or comments? Leave them on this blog, or log into the Forum and post them there instead. Either way, make sure your voice is heard.

March Seminar

Hi Guys,

For those of you who attended the presentation by Micheal Ellison last
week, thanks for your participation, and we will be scheduling another
presentation by him, probably in March or April.

If you were at the presentation then you might remember his mentioning
that there would be a seminar of local med schools coming up soon. Well,
soon means:

The Illinois Medical School Admissions Seminar will be held on Saturday,
March 4, 2006 at Midwestern Univesity in Downers Grove, IL. This would
be very beneficial for you guys to attend, all eight medical schools will
be there.

As you can see, he made good on informing us as to when the admissions
seminar would be held. The seminar is basically an all-day event, which

Basically, i'd recommend that if it's at all possible for you to make it that
you find the time, as this will be an ideal opportunity to find out about the
local schools, as well as have a chance to participate in a couple of free
classes that are related to the application or addmission process. We will
see what we can do about doing some car pooling, but basically I think
we will be individually responsible for getting ourselves to Downers Grove
(just past Oak Brook, out west there a ways, eh).I will need to have a list of
all participants by next Tuesday @ noon. Any later than that and i won't be
able to guarantee that you can attend (as we need to submit our list with
our pre-med advisor, in this case, Dr. Kasmer, that will accompany us to
the seminar).
