Motions:

  • that the last semester that the English Competency Exam be offered is spring semester,  2012
  • that registration status be given to students seeking a graduate certificate that is equivalent to graduate student status, effective fall semester, 2010
  • That registration status be given to students seeking 2nd baccalaureate degree that is equivalent to sophomore students

April 1, 2010 FCAA Meeting:

Motion passed: FCAA recommends the change of the name of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures to the Department of World Languages and Cultures.

 

April 15, 2010 FCAA Meeting:

Congratulations and much appreciation to Laura Sanders, Earth Science, for her appointment to the Online Curricular Task Force

Motion of approval of the proposed bylaws of the Advisory Committee on International Program passed with the following recommendation of emendation:  at least one member has experience traveling internationally with NEIU students as their professor.

May 6, 2010 FCAA Meeting:

Andrew Kourvetaris and Teddy Bofman have been appointed by the FCAA for WIFAC positions in behavioral and social sciences and English Language Programs respectively, their terms beginning August 31, 2010 and ending August 31, 2012.

COE Reorganization proposal approved.

ANTH 109B challenge and response:  motion passed that ANTH 109B give biology natural science credit in the general education curriculum.

  MOTION (M. Kane, J. Hageman) passed: The graduation candidacy application  requirement be removed as of September, 2010.
