Welcome to my home page. I'm Erick Howenstine, associate professor of Geography & Environmental Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. I am also graduate coordinator and author of the department's web pages.

These pages link to professional information about me, my course syllabi and research interests. They explain how, when, and where to reach me. The page I update most is the "links" page, which contains a combination of sites which I find interesting, useful, or amusing. I've annoteted the links so that you may may find them useful also. They are my permanent bookmarks -- favorites which I can get to from any computer. Because many of them lead to pages with frames, my Useful Links page itself will not be framed but will appear as a new page.
