EDFN COURSE SUBSTITUTE/TRANSFER EVALUATION PROCEDURE

To request that a prior course substitute/transfer for EDFN 305/405, 306/ 406, or 307/407 please follow the process below and have the student provide the following information. 

EMAIL SUBJECT LINE

1.            Send an email that will include attachments to the EDFN Coordinator,

Dr. Eleni Makris (emakris@neiu.edu).

2.            The Subject Line of the email should read, EDFN Articulation Request/(the student’s last name).

 

EMAIL BODY/TEXT

In the Body of the email, please provide:

1. the student’s full name, email, address, phone number and NEIU student identification number;

2. the COE EDFN course which the student proposes to substitute (EDFN 305/405, 306/ 406, or 307/407)

3. for the course that the student is proposing to substitute/transfer as an EDFN course,

·       the college/university name from which the course was taken,

·       the course title,

·       the course number,

·       the year this course was successfully completed, and

·       the course description as appears in that college’s/university’s official catalogue; and

4.            the name and email address of your COE advisor.

ATTACHMENTS (must have)

Please provide Attachments as PDF files (please convert hard copies into PDF files and attach):

Attachment 1 (must have)-            transcripts from the college/university providing proof of successful completion of the proposed course.

Attachment 2  (must have)            the course syllabus for the course that the student is proposing to substitute as the EDFN course.
