All non-Israeli citizens must fill-in a visa form on the airplane or upon arrival;
Follow passengers from plane, through airport hallways and escalators to the immigration kiosks – give visa form and passport to immigration official;
Walk ten meters past kiosks to an Airport Security Services officer, show your passport and visa – you may have to go through questioning process;
Pick-up your baggage, follow the signs towards the right of the baggage carousel to exit the airport;
You can exchange money and buy cell phone SIM cards at any of the small vendors before exiting the airport;
Once outside, inquire about the pick-up locations of private taxis or shared taxis (sheruts);
If taking a private taxi, ask driver if s/he is willing to drive to East Jerusalem, and specifically to the hotel address – if not, you may inquire with others or ask how close to the hotel s/he can drop you off and if it is possible to walk the rest of the way (we can provide you with a map of East Jerusalem and the location of the hotel);
If taking a sherut, ask driver how close to the hotel s/he can drop you off;
Remember, if you get lost, you can always ask for directions and help. |
