Candidate Orientation Tuesday, March 15th Thursday, March 17th Tuesday, March 29th Thursday, March 31st	MANDATORY TO ATTEND 1 MEETING (for all who decide to run for election). APPLICATION Deadline FRIDAY, APRIL 1st @ 4PM Failure to do so will mean the candidate will become a write-in candidate. Their name will not appear on the ballot. Write-In Candidates Deadline Friday, April 8th @ 4pm *MUST be accompanied by a petition containing 25 signatures and ID #’s of current students. All materials due by 4pm on 4/8/2011. A petition form can be accessed at www.neiu.edu/~deptsao/leaderswanted	Candidate Registration Form: ALL candidates must register in order to run for elections. All candidates’, who submit their form by 4pm on 4/1/2011 and attend 1 orientation, names will appear on the ballot. Candidate Bio’s OPTIONAL: Your bio will appear on the voter ballot so students can read about you. Candidate Pic: OPTIONAL: Your picture must be taken by the Student Activities Office. Campaigning Period April 4th - April 15th	Campaigning may begin for registered & approved candidates AFTER attending 1 candidate orientation beginning April 4, 2011.	In order to begin campaigning, candidates must have submitted both the registration and certification form to SAO, received approval, & has attended 1 orientation meeting.
Candidate Day Tue, April 12th 10am-4pm Wed., April 13th 10am-4pm Debate Day Thursday, April 7th 3:05pm (senate) Tuesday, April 12th 3:05pm (exec’s & IBHE-SAC, Student Trustee)	Candidate Day During Candidate Day, candidates can occupy a table in Village Square to campaign. Debate Day Candidates can participate in open debate moderated by the Election Commission. ONLINE Balloting Period Saturday, April 9th @ 8am Friday, April 15th @ 4pm	Candidates may continue to campaign in accordance with the campaigning rules during the balloting period.	Final results will be posted online on the Election Commission website at www.neiu.edu/~deptsao/leaderswanted and on the bulletin board outside of the Student Activities Office.
Ratification of Election Results SGA Senate Meeting on April 19th Swearing In (mandatory) Thursday, April 28th SGA Summer Retreat (mandatory) May 13th, 14th, 15th (tentative)	Ratification takes place pending no outstanding election violations. All winning candidates will be sworn into position at the April 28th Senate Meeting (mandatory). RETREAT IS MANDATORY and is an overnight stay off campus.	Ratification of Election Results 4/26: 3:05pm in SU-003 Swearing In (mandatory) 4/28: 3:05pm in Golden Eagles SGA Summer Retreat (mandatory) May 13th (8am) – May 15th (6pm)
