Study abroad is a once in a lifetime chance to travel, study and live in a foreign country. While pursuing a degree at Northeastern, you will have the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or an academic year. There are also summer study abroad programs ranging in length from 4 to 12 weeks. You can earn NEIU credit for your pre-approved study abroad program, and your study abroad experience will be noted on your transcript. Students have studied abroad to Argentina, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Spain and many other countries.

Study abroad can be highly affordable. There are programs to fit every budget, and there are many wonderful scholarship opportunities available. NEIU students eligible for financial aid may apply towards study abroad programs.
