International/American Studies Summer Institute

 

Program Highlights for Students and School Teachers in the U.S.

As a participant, you will:

  • Earn the needed university credit for continuing professional development required to renew your teaching certificates

  • Increase your knowledge of music, African culture, Korean culture, Spanish American culture, Islamic civilization, economic issues, or American government

  • Participate in an educational experience designed to increase international understanding

  • Have direct contact with teachers and students from NEIU's partner schools in Poland, Korea, France, and Tanzania


Registration Information

  • Current or Former Northeastern Students: Consult the Schedule of Classes for Summer 2006 for course reference number(s), and register during the advance registration period in March or during the late registration periods in May or June.

  • New Students: Students who have never enrolled at Northeastern must complete a student-at-large application no later than June 15, 2006 to be eligible to register.

  • Chicago Area School Teachers: Teachers who are subject to the requirements for continuing professional development may register and earn credits in order to renew your certificates. You can register for the Institute classes as a current, former, or new student-at-large student.
