As a participant, you will:

andstudents in the classroom and on weekends

can be transferred back to your home institution

economics, music and American Government
Estimated Costs
Partner university exchange students can participate
for degree credit or audit, based on student request and academic
qualifications. Please note USA visa requirements. Partner
students' tuition costs for degree credit are paid at their
home institution. NEIU will waive exchange student's weekend
activity costs. Each student must be responsible for his/her
international airfare, NEIU student fees, and all other cost-of-living
expenses.

attending the 3-week summer institute:

USA Visa Information

All students must enter the US with
a J-1 visa after June 7, 2006 and before July 7, 2006.
-
J-1 visa bearers must have medical insurance
for the entire length of their stay in the US.
-
J-1 visa bearers must be engaged in a
prescribed course of study.

Upon completion of your application material
NEIU will issue and mail to you an acceptance letter and
a Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1)
Status (Form DC 2019).
To apply for a J-1 visa, you need your letter of acceptance,
Form DS-2019, and a valid passport.
Check at the US embassy closest to you to see if they
require additional documents.

A letter of recommendation from your home institution.
Please contact your school's Office of International Affairs
to obtain copies of the above mentioned application material.A
complete set of the above documents must be submitted to your
school's Office of International Affairs to be forwarded to
NEIU on/before April 17, 2006.
