If you
like to be outdoors, aren't afraid to get your hands
dirty, and are interested in the environment, maybe you
belong on the TIERRA team!
As a member of the TIERRA team, you'll work with 15
other NEIU students for 10 weeks, two days per week,
through Summer 2012. You will learn hands-on how
to scientifically investigate soil and other Earth
resources. Three faculty mentors and a peer mentor
will guide you in working with other students to
complete and present a scientific research project.
You'll meet professionals who work at places such as the
USDA, NRCS, ARS, and consulting companies in the Chicago
area. They'll share tips on how you can get a job
in this field and have a career that uses the knowledge you gain as
part of the TIERRA team! |
