GENERAL INFORMATION:


  The Human Relations summer session will focus on future planning for getting through high school and preparation for college. This class will provide students with real life educational career, college, financial aid, budgeting, goal setting and future planning skills. The TrueLife Curriculum or the Net Cruising programs will introduce to some and enhance in others the use of Internet and computer skills, critical thinking, and provide career, college and financial aid information sources.

Contact your teacher: Students are encouraged to email their teacher if they are unable to attend class, or are having difficulty understanding an assignment. Ms. Waukanee Jackson

GOALS FOR THE CLASS

1. Students will prepare a college project that include completing applications, selecting classes, financial aid forms and scholarships.

2. Students will complete career interest inventories.

3. Students will research apartments and the cost of maintenance.

4. Students will begin learning the cost of living and computing expenses.

5. Students will review jobs and careers.

6. Students will have an email address and access to computers
