OVERVIEW OF PROGRAM
Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) Project Upward Bound provide services to students in Chicago Public Schools in targeted schools and targeted communities. These services are designed to assist students interested in pursing higher education in community colleges and universities across the country.
Academic Tutoring (Fall Tutoring)

Upward Bound does not end with the final day of the summer program. Instead, we have an extensive academic year program to advise, motivate and enrich students throughout the school year.

In the fall of the school year, students and Upward Bound staff commit to an Academic Year Agreement which describes the responsibilities of the program and its participants.

Summer Voyage

In the summer, up to forty students participate in a six week academic enrichment program on the University’s campus. During the first five weeks, students receive instruction in English, mathematics, science...more
Saturday Institute

Saturday Institute classes convene twenty times between October and April on the campus of NEIU. The classes are divided into three components appropriate to students' year in school. ...more.
