Participants are required to attend tutorial sessions with a trained tutor at their schools once or twice a week at an assigned time. Tutoring is also available an Saturdays at Northeastern Illinois University Saturday Institute, before and after class. Tutoring requirements are determined by students’ grades each marking period and by their cumulative grade point averages.

FALL TUTORING REQUIREMENTS

1. The tutoring requirement is twice per week for:

a. All freshmen

This means that any student that receives more C’s than A’s during a grading period must attend tutoring twice per week regardless of the student’s cumulative grade point average. Example: If a student has five classes and receives two A’s, one B and two C’s; the student meets only attends tutoring once per week. If the student receives one A, two B’s, and two C’s; the student must attend twice per week since there are more C’s than A’s.
