Upward Bound Math & Science
The Upward Bound Math and Science program is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately careers in the math and science profession.
The UBMS program provides direct and indirect math, science and technology services to students in partner schools.
Services include:
- Academic High School work in Math, Science and Technology
- College awareness and support
- Project base learning in architecture, urban planning, engineering, computer gaming, environmental science, forensics, journalism, and performing arts/ theater
- After School and Summer programming
UBMS encourages the growth and development of STEM content and Environmental Application education.
