Resource Center
CTC’s Resource Center is a place where teachers, parents, pre-services students and staff from community organizations connect to discuss instructional ideas, develop curriculum and attend workshops. CTC provides an organized and efficient workspace for developing classroom materials, computer equipment and cultural resources along with an extensive collection of teacher resource books and video tapes, including the PBS collection. A great place for pre-service teachers to work on projects with expert staff.
Hours
The Resource Center is open to the public four days a week.
Monday - Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. -2:30 p.m.
Parking
There is 2 hour metered parking on both Chicago Avenue and Halsted Avenue. Parking is available in the lot on Green and Chicago Avenue anytime after 3:30 and all day on Saturday when space is available.
Equipment & Supplies
We provide an organized work space where there is access to a variety of equipment and supplies. We have an extensive collection of teacher resource materials, files and displays, as well as a professional development library. Available equipment includes, but is not limited to, laminating, bookbinding, button making, and letterpress machines. Electronic equipment includes: computers, scanners, printers, copiers, wide format printer and projectors.
Costs
The use of all equipment is free, depending on availability; however, we ask that you pay for all consumables. Anything in the recycle area is free. Fees are charged for copies, laminating and supplies.
