Excel Basics for Educators
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to try out
Microsoft’s Excel spreadsheet program to make class rosters
and do basic grade book type functions, as well as use
some of the program’s tools to make graphs and charts.
First we format and sort cells to explore options of using Excel
to make rosters. Then we will go over the basic
functions to sum or average grades. Finally, we will use the
“Chart Wizard” and explore the possibilities of having
students represent their data in simple and colorful ways.
