Thinking about Teaching: Effective C&I Tools
About CTC > Mission
The Chicago Teachers Center (CTC) at Northeastern Illinois University reaches out into the diverse communities of metropolitan Chicago to improve outcomes for K to 12 students, to expand educational options to their parents and families, and to provide research-supported professional development for teachers and administrators. Important to CTC’s success are strong partnerships with schools and districts, colleges and universities, corporations and foundations, and community-based organizations.
The Chicago Teachers’ Center is part of Northeastern’s College of Education. We have been working to improve urban education through collaborative partnerships with K-12 schools, universities, arts and community organizations for 32 years. CTC’s 80 full-time and 200 part-time professionals have extensive expertise in working with all of the stakeholders that make up a school community.
