Throughout the Collaborative Learning Centers Project, the Price Staff has worked with many people from the partner institutions as well as enlisting the services of art consultants.
Michele Corazzo, Roosevelt professor, in a Price classroom working with students and teachers on a lesson which integrated African folk dance into the social studies curriculum during the unit on South Africa. Michele met with grade level teams over a two-year period showing teachers ways to integrate the arts into the core curriculum.
Connie Speake, Northeastern Illinois University professor, leading a teacher workshop on aligning curriculum and state standards in music.
Roosevelt University professor, Alonza Everage, working with students and their classroom teacher on a lesson integrating drumming and mathematical ratio.
During the second year of the CLC project at Price, artists from four disciplines lead workshops on arts integration. Above Price teachers create a mural about Mexican culture with the assistance of visual artist Sue Somers and musician David Miller.
