Counseling and Psychological Services

Counseling & Psychological Services at Northeastern Illinois University provides counseling and mental health services to NEIU students. It also provides consultation and support to NEIU faculty and staff.

Emotional distress, relationship difficulties and personal concerns can make it very difficult to perform well and achieve your academic goals. Counseling and therapy enables you to understand and deal with those issues, freeing you to make clearer and healthier decisions. You can use counseling to explore personal problems in your life including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, relationship problems, anger, addictions, and many other difficulties that may cause stress and disrupt your life.

Explore the information on this site to learn more about how counseling might help you, how to refer someone else to a counselor, or how to find help off-campus. Use the links on the right for other services offered on campus.

Counseling services are available to currently registered NEIU students, up to 50 individual or couple sessions. Group counseling services are available to NEIU students without session limits.
