How to use Bio Rad for IR spectra

First, start of by drawing the desired molecule you want to examine. Click on the ‘Draw It’ button.

Create any molecule you want using rings, bonds, and atoms. To type a letter somewhere, just hover your mouse over the point and a black box will appear. Leave the mouse alone so the black box can be up, and type any letter you want the represents an element.

Once your done click the ‘Analyze it IR’ on top or from the left side.

Now you have to make sure there are the typical downward pointing peaks of IR. If not go to the options and choose to show transmittance instead of absorption.

Now you can go back and view the IR ranges for any specific functional group. Click on them from the bottom and see the peaks and values.
