Mostly Music at Northeastern Illinois University provides educational and community oriented programs, offers quality chamber music performances in accessible and unique venues at affordable prices, and supports local musicians.
Mostly Music at NEIU offers concerts on campus and in private and public venues throughout the Chicago area. Outreach programs include over 75 concerts each year in senior facilities (funded by the Rothschild Foundation) and performances and residencies in Chicago Public Schools. Master classes and workshops with renowned artists are presented on campus at NEIU.
Mostly Music at NEIU offers "chamber music in the home," a concert series throughout Chicago and the suburbs, providing chamber music devotees with an opportunity to hear live concerts in an intimate setting.
Established in July, 2001 to carry on the rich tradition of Mostly Music Inc., an organization founded over 30 years ago, Mostly Music at NEIU will continue to preserve, promote, and invigorate music and the lively arts.
Mostly Music at NEIU is partially funded by the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the Hulda B. and Maurice L. Rothschild Foundation.
