Mission Statement
Acknowledging
the strengths of Mexican families, Casa Aztlán seeks to
sustain the strong cultural identity of the Pilsen community by
organizing and educating residents and providing supportive services
in order to combat social violence, discrimination and poverty.

Casa Aztlán is located in a building that originally housed
the bohemian Settlement founded in 1896. Since the community has become
Mexican, Casa Aztlán has been providing services to the community
since 1970. Casa Aztlán has been recognized for its indigenous
identity with the community, its nurturing of Cultural heritage, its
commitment to immigrant and human rights, and their direct Services
to all the Mexican community.
Casa Aztlán is led by a board of directors who have lived here
and known the daily problems of The Pilsen community. The executive
director caries out the mission of Casa Aztlán.
