CASA AZTLAN CULTURAL EVENTS

This is a list of the cultural events we have at Casa Aztlán each year. We will update you on the details in the near future.

  • Dia de Los Muertos Parade - This Day of the Dead parade with skulls and costumes takes place each November 2nd.

  • Posada Navideña - This Christmas Posada, a Mexican tradition, takes place on December 17, 2002.

  • Christmass Procession- As part of the Posada Navidena, this procession, complete with St. Joseph and Mary and Child riding a live donkey goes through the neighborhood as those participating ask for "posada" or shelter. Date to be announced.

  • Annual Candle Light Dinner - This is a fundraising event each year for Casa Aztlan. The event includes a formal dinner, live entertainment and an art auction.

  • Viva Aztlán Festival - This festival takes place each year on the Labor Day weekend in September. Food, music, art and culture.

  • Pilsen Cultural Festival - This festival includes folkloric dances and music, regional Mexican food, information booths for adults and entertainment for children.
